Hey Ya! Did You Get that Panda Dog You saw in Japan?

What’s that? No Panda Dogs for you?

Well, you know what I say to that: when all else fails, or is not given to you this year cause you were a naughty little monkey, dance.

Dance, fools DANCE!

(via dancey peanuts you tube, julie snee, and 7d who says that I saw this years ago but I really don’t recall that situation)

If You Build it, Santa Claus will Come

Twas the Night Before Christmas
A curious bit of animation made in 1974 spun around the poem of the same name. In a world where mice and humans get along, and even work together, Santa Claus is pissed. An angry letter addressed to our favorite North Pole resident makes Junctiontown the Cuba of Christmas, as far as Mr Claus is concerned. Can The Clockmaker’s invention(a big honking clock that plays music at the stroke of midnight) save the town from disappointment, lack of laughter and pony-less little girls? Probably.

Art Carney – ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas – 1954
While searching for the gem from Kid Groonk’s childhood, this odd bit was found. A beatnik approach to the classic poem. i can’t say that I like it, but I *can* say it’s unique enough to give it a go.

Oh, Dalek-Tree. Oh, Dalek-Tree. It’s Christmas Please Don’t Kill Us…

dalek-tree1

*Clears throat* :

Oh, Dalek-Tree. Oh, Dalek-Tree.
It’s Christmas Please Don’t Kill Us.
I didn’t mean to laugh at you.
“Ex-ter-min-ate!” will make me blue.
Now I must go run and flee.
Or hit you with a school bus.*

(*Sung to the tune of “Oh, Christmas Tree.” duh.)

(**Video of Dalek tree after the jump.)

Voltaire Shares His Creepy Christmas with You

Over on his MySpace(people still use that?), Voltaire shares his Creepy Christmas film(Dec. 18th) behind the scenes goings on. These antics include studio pics with one My Chemical Romance guy, Gerard Way, who narrates “X-Mess Detritus” and who also wrote the insanely awesome UMBRELLA ACADEMY that you should go out and buy after you finish reading this post and watching said movie.

Voltaire’s film, “X-mess Detritus” is a cautionary parable about the dangers of holiday gift-giving and the effect the resulting garbage has on the Earth. Voltaire wrote a poem to tell this tale and enlisted My Chemical Romance front man, Gerard Way (who also wrote the insanely awesome Umbrella Academy which you should go out and buy after you finish reading this post) to narrate his creepy Christmas short.

CreepyChristmas.net doesn’t provide an easily sharable video embed. But if you click the image below, it’ll take you straight to viewing Voltaire’s Creepy Christmas entry.

I do too much for you kids. I really do.

BITCH SLAP: The Cult Classic You Didn’t Ask For (but Secretly Wished For)

Aside from that business with the monster(no word on what that’s about yet) and the Type I civilizations, this is easily movie love week on groonk.net.

Bitch Slap is a modern throwback to the “B” Movie/Exploitation films of the 1950’s — 70’s, mixing hot girls, fast cars, big guns, nasty tongues, outrageous action and jaw-dropping eye candy with a message…don’t be naughty. “Cult Classic” and “Cinematic Masterpiece” barely encompass this cat-fighting, girl-banging, pile-driving, go-go dancing, bronco-busting, bumping and grinding, philosophy-touting, breast-augmenting, femme-tastic f%@#-fest-fight-fantasy of epic proportions. Bitch Slap – You know you want it!
