Tuesday Tease: British Being Human Trailer Inspires Hope for Series 3 Debut
Posted by mistergroonk in Television, Trailers on January 11, 2011
Synopsis
A vampire, a werewolf and a ghost move-in together. Take 3. No really.
What We Learned:
It looks like all the old temptations are at play. But what will be the fate of Annie? Our purely harmless, burning crush on Lenora Crichlow will not be sated by her occasional ghostly blips on the nearby telly.
Why We’ll Watch:
The Being Human series has been a pleasant surprise. It’s not about the cursed using their abilities to right wrongs or protect the night. It’s about three unique individuals afflicted in such a way that they are considered monsters in the literal sense. When, in fact, their struggle to fit in, not make waves and resist their primal urges makes then all the more human. This is an easy concept to grasp. But it’s also damn near impossible to pull off with any kind of weight or sense of fun. The creators and cast of this Being Human are one of the chosen few to “get it right.”
When’s it coming?
All signs point to some time in January 2011.

It was nostalgia geek-explosion. A special reunion screening of the funner than it shoulda been 80s movie The Monster Squad sold out in Austin, TX. On Easter weekend no less.
I loved that movie back then. I love the damn thing now. Good fun popcorn goodness, it was.

Inside the Ain’t It Cool link you’ll find info on why The Monster Squad and Night of the Creeps hasn’t made it to DVD yet. The short of it is, if you want to get the suckers pushed into production, you have to shower the execs with physical proof of your fan presence. Physical proof of want equals proof of money being spent in their eyes. On that note:

l-r: Andre Gower(Sean, The Squad leader); Ashley Bank(Phoebe the Feeb, Sean’s littler sister); and Ryan Lambert(Rudy, the “cool kid”)
