IRON WEEK Begins: Tyler Stout’s IRON MAN II Poster

It’s the comics week of weeks, people.

It is the week every fanboy who doesn’t work at Marvel or is not famous, or related to fame in any way, gets to see IRON MAN II. Afterwards, it’ll be the week of fanboys meticulously dissecting IRON MAN II and comparing why it’s sub-standard to IRON MAN.

There won’t be any fanfare from us during that week.

Here’s more art from Tyler Stout. He’s made more than one appearance on this site over the years. We expect this will not change much in the future.

Open Your Eyes My Little Friend, BEST WORST MOVIE has a Poster

If there’s anything you learn in this world it must be this: TROLL 2 was made and it is the most god-awful thing you’ll ever put into your eyes. We’re talking GIGLI bad. BATTLEFIELD EARTH horrible.

Don’t take our word for it. Search the You Tube for the infamous bad movie montage. Better yet check out this Montage of Wonder and Awe on Vimeo.

Over the last 20 years the maddest thing happened. TROLL 2 became a cult sensation. Blame MST3K. Blame the ironic hipster culture where everything (and we mean everything) that is bad is good. Blame it on the rain for all the good it’ll do you. TROLL 2 is celebrated in its awfulness by a select group of fans all over the nation and there’s nothing you can do about it.

You can do nothing but make a documentary about acting in the BEST WORST MOVIE ever made, that is.

Directed by the annoying 10 year old child star of the worst movie ever made, BEST WORST MOVIE is a documentary exploring the behind the scenes happenings of TROLL 2. Judging from the independent awards and the current 100% freshness on Rotten Tomatoes, BEST WORST MOVIE needs to play at a theater near us some time soon.

Trailer after the jump.

Today’s Visual Feast: Re-advertising the Old

Big Trouble in Little China did awesome things to the action/fantasy/kung fu/silly centers of my then 13 year old brain. I regret that I have not seen its like since.

This is part of a series of posters released somewhere in Austin when they’re doing stuff. More exact info on what I’m not saying can be found here.

Let’s Take that HELL RIDE Together

hellrideposter-good

Movie one-sheets have been dismally unimaginative the past, let’s say, decade. So when I see one that stands up and asserts itself in badassery, I take notice. HELL RIDE. Quentin Tarantino backed the movie. Larry Bishop wrote it. I’m ready to see it.

Bring it!
