Back in Business

I hunted. I gathered. I returned from central Alabama, ?cause that?s where my parents still live. The house I grew up in has gotten bigger, again. This time by way of another room addition, another bathroom, and a kick ass patio. Yup, that?s right, the house I grew up in still stands and is still occupied by my parents. After talking to a friend or three, that apparently is an odd thing in this day and age.

Every time I go home I walk around and remember the little things. The go-cart I used to tear around my grandparents house in (they lived next door). The two hills I used to gain enough speed to do a trooper slide at the bottom. I guess I was more carefree in those days. Wish I still had that recklessness now.

So the house has grown. The parents bought an HDTV which I swear is big enough to tune in Jesus and created a screened in patio that I?d love to use for grilling out on in the summer. I?ve got some pics that I?ll share sometime this week, hopefully.

I ate a ton of bird. Parsed evenly over the days I was away, of course. I couldn’t get enough of it actually. Which is ironic when I think of my mindset a mere ten years ago. Back then I couldn’t stand the thought of turkey leftovers. Nowadays, I ain’t so picky. Ach, the wonders of aging and delicious home cooking.

My comment section is currently down. Even though I use MT Blacklist, some bright-eyed fucktard managed to get a bot in there and slow my site down to nothing. The short term answer involved turning the sucker off for a while. So thank the lazy-dickless wonder who created comment spam for you not being able to drop in your two cents. I just can?t have nice things without others trying to tear it down.

The site re-design will be a permanent fix to my woes but that has to wait until I?m done with school. It?s always about the priorities.

Until then, enjoy scattershot ponderings.
