Dunc and I have noted on many a trip to the local Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, etc, etc there’s something wrong with the book covers of today. There are more than enough covers of the demure/ dominatrix/asassin/goth girl’s backside. Sometimes they dare to reveal the divide where the good lord split them.
Enticing as these covers sometimes are, none of them scream, “pick *me* up!” or “Read me! Read ME!” or even “Your life will not be the same after you walk through my pages.”
A thread has begun on Whitechapel. Mr Ellis has put out the call asking for his followers favorite book covers.
They, of course, obliged.
I found many a spread that was beautiful to the eye but this one made me stop and think a little.
