#MusicMonday: You Just Got Rocked by Hanson, How Does That Make You Feel?

Hanson’s new album, Shout It Out, released last June 2010. We didn’t know about this because, well, it was Hanson. Covered for the Better: Ted Leo “Since U Been Gone”/ “Maps”

An idea lay dormant in our heads for such a long time now. Find brilliant covers to songs that were mediocre at best. You better believe there are plenty examples floating around the You Tube. Taking that step to fully realize the potential of this idea begins now:

Kelly Clarkson, a singer who we’re hard pressed to remember why she’s famous in the first place, once murdered the airwaves with this pop super-sugarfied mess. We know because the radio refused to let us forget the damn thing. @Robcorddry recently shared this video clip of one @tedleo covering “Since U been Gone” and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs “Maps”(a song we have no problem with whatsoever) beautifully. Better yet, Mr Leo does it soulfully.

It’s nice seeing real music artists are out there still singing a tune or two. Have a good watch/listen before stepping into the Memorial Day holiday.
