That time of year when freaks/geeks/nerds converge on the western city of San Diego is almost upon us. If they wrote it, drew it filmed it; they will come. From pros to amateurs, they will come. Then there are the simple observers. They, too, will come to amuse and destroy.
I’ve never been to San Diego Comic Con(AKA Nerd Prom by professional comics maven Kelly Sue, I think). But I wouldn’t mind going one year. A few years ago it would have been for the sheer spectacle of the thing. Now I want to sell wares of my own and get drunk on some sandy beachside bar.
All of those things take money. Money that I currently do not have lying around. Pity us. Pity The Groonk.
Better yet, buy us beer.
