Knock the Sucker Down

Weeks ago, I found myself on the way to class a good half hour earlier than I usually am. (Which makes my leave time a good hour before class actually began.)

I was proud of myself and even had a song in my heart.

Then I saw it.

A one-story aluminum-sided house on the back of a semi being moved down University Drive…very…slowly at 9 in the AM.

I chased that song from my heart with several angry words that melted car paint within a 1000 yard radius.

But the house refused to move any faster. In fact, it went slower. Just to spite me.

I was late, again. And it was a half day.

If your house isn’t the Lincoln home the chances on it being worth moving are slim to none. If your house IS the Lincoln home, well chances are the road will be moving around you.

Next time, just knock that sucker down and rebuild.

Or else.
