Quotable week continues with an angry heart:

I?m thinking of attending art school in Canada. I mentioned this idea of mine to a few people in passing. I tell them that I?m researching moving to Vancouver, BC for much needed schooling and the first response isn?t, ?Wow, that?d be a neat adventure.? or ?Wicked, when are you going?? No, the first words out of most people?s mouths are, ?It?s cold there.?
Well I?ll be damned.
It?s cold in Canada.
I bet Canada is north of the United States, too. And that sometimes, just sometimes, in that coldness that is called Canada, it snows. Would it be possible that ice collects in this northern frontier? That information wasn?t volunteered so I suppose I?ll have to make that discovery on my own.
Long before I wanted to go to school in Canada, I had?have? a strong desire to give Portland, OR living a try. As mentioned above, I shared my idea in idle conversation. These newly informed chat buddies decided it was in my best interest to know that it rains a lot in Portland (or Seattle, a place that I didn?t mention but it is at the bottom of my places-to-be list).
Rain falls in Seattle and in Portland. You could knock me over with a feather. It actually rains in a coastal city located in the northwestern United States of America.
Some days it doesn?t pay to open your mouth.
