The Mad Men<\/em> minimalist teaser poster<\/a> made the rounds mid January 2012.<\/p>\n

Now we have this “nonverbal representation” to whet our appetites until Mad Men returns to our collective TVs. Series creator Matthew Weiner had this to say about the image in the New York Times<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153This is a dreamlike image,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Mr. Weiner said, likening it to work of the Italian artist Giorgio de Chirico, who specialized in surreal, mannequin-like figures.<\/p>\n

The image is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153a nonverbal representation of where my head is at and where the show will be,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/a> Mr. Weiner said.<\/p>\n

A “nonverbal representation” eh? We see the glorious previous 4 seasons of Mad Men<\/em>, a show about high-powered, fast tallking advertising executives in 1960s New York City, was not a fluke.<\/p>\n
