Post these instructions, the artists, and the ten songs in your blog. Then tag five other people to see what they’re listening to.

White Stripes – Blue Orchid
White Stripes rule my entire earwig.

Dispatch – The General
Story masquerading as song. I dig it. Reminds me of The Refreshments in that way.

Ditty Bops – Wake up
Something new that’s quickly taking up headspace.

Poe – 5 1/2minute hallway
It makes me believe that I live in a House of Leaves.

Something Corporate – Woe
A song after my own heart.

MINmi – shiki no uta
Japanese hip-hop at its best. It plays at the end of Samurai Champloo. I have no clue what they’re saying but you can dance to it. I hear this tune and immediately do the < insert latest, coolest dance move here > in my driver’s seat. And besdies that, she’s fine as fuck.

The Lemonheads – Zero My Hero
Also makes me dance in my driver’s seat, but in a considerably less cool way. Least I’ll have basic math to back me up.

Black Eyed Peas – Pump It
I fucking LOVE all The Black Eyed Peas songs. This one gets to the head of the rotation cause it’s on my latest CD mix.

Boa -Duvet
The anime(Serial Experiments Lain) this song is from is trippy, even by my standards. The song itself haunts my very soul.

Cake – Wheels
Cake is always good. Always.

Bjork – Triumph of a Heart
A song composed entirely of Bjork’s vocals. No instruments involved. It makes me think of a day after a mad Guinness bender.

Morcheeba – Rome wasn’t Built in a Day
No. It wasn’t. If Morcheeba was playing during its construction, time would positively fly by.

Louis XIV – God Killed the Queen
…and nipped her on her bum. Long live the Man in Black

Jack Johnson – Sitting, Waiting, Wishing
I use to not like any of JJ’s tunes. Now I find them reassuring.

Modest Mouse – Ocean Breathes Salty
“You’ve wasted life why wouldn’t you waste death?”

Rufus Wainwright– Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk
I don’t smoke but chocolate milk is tasty. If only I could remember more than the chorus to this cut.

Presidents of the United States of America – Dune Buggy
“Spider woman in the back seat saying, “Go, go, GO!””
PUSA is one of the most underrated alternative bands of the 90s.

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra – LupinIII ’78
Can’t lose with some TSPO. I’ve almost got Lupin’s monologue from the beginning memorized.

Tsuneo Imahori – Fool’s Paradise
In the series Trigun, it played during the ads for the next episode while Vash would read some poignant, sometimes lame, poetry in the background. The guitar riff is cool..

The Pillows – I Think I can
Fucking all The Pillows stuff rocks. Many American bands could take lessons. This song in particular has dominated my headspace lately.

Outkast – Roses
This song gives me reason to face the day.

DJ Shadow – What Does Your Soul Look Like
Dark. Cold. About the size of a desiccated peach. I want this song played at my funeral. None of that boo hooing and wearing black nonsense. Just drinking and laughing and recreational drugs.

SpiderBait – Black Betty
This song rocks my hell damn ass off.

That’s more than 10 songs. You’ll deal.

I’ll tag people who have nominal to no web prescence.
