Tuesday Tease: Latest INCEPTION Trailer Explains Everything, And Everything Looks Damn Good
Posted by mistergroonk in Movies, One Sheets, Trailers on May 11, 2010
And INCEPTION turns out to be somewhat like we figured.
And we were very pleased with this.
What it is
Your dreams are the locked box and Leonardo DiCaprio is the criminal come to pick that box, rifle through everything you hold dear, and leave. You’ll never know he was even there.
At least, that’s our take on the trailer. Feel free to challenge this assumption.
What We Learned
Ideas are like parasites?
Can this be the same idea that, “a voice can just go somewhere… just hang out. Like a dirty thought in a nice clean mind. Maybe a thought is like a virus. It could kill all the healthy thoughts and take over. That would be serious.”
TALK HARD!!!
Why We’re Gonna Watch
Two reasons.
1) Mind-twisty goodness brought to you by the man who gave the world MEMENTO, THE PRESTIGE, andDARK KNIGHT.
2) A third act that remains secretive and is said will turn your brain into a tasty cruller.
We’d like to test reason number two. It really can’t be as obvious as the trailer leads us to believe.
When’s it coming?

PONYO ON THE CLIFF BY THE SEA
Hayao Miyazaki‘s (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) latest opus is close to the breaking shore. Sadly, Disney marketers still haven’t figured out how to cut a proper trailer for all the wondrous things you’ll find inside a Miyazaki flick.
Equally legendary animator, Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell), offers curious insight on PONYO. Know that we will be watching it as soon as this little town offers the chance and forming our own opinions.
