Handy Guide: Zombie Phrenology, Understanding the Natural Tendencies of the Undead

Dipping a toe into the great, wide internet ocean. It’s a bit nippy around here. Definitely teaming with what passes for life these days. We’ll (re)fit just fine.

Thanks to the mighty Simon Drax for this.

It’s Christmas Eve, Boys and Girls. Be Good or the Krampus Will Whip You.

Twitterer @RonSalas retweeted an old Christmas card @CalamityJon created a few years ago.

The Krampus is an old myth that the Venture Brothers introduced us to a few years ago. Take a walk through YouTube and you’ll find tons of contemporary parade and Traditional Krampus videos all up in there.

Now imagine our surprise when we learned obscure mythologist writer most extraordinary, Neil Gaiman, did not know of the Krampus.

We’re still reeling from this revelation. Reality as we know it may never recover.

SDCC THOR Trailer is Back. Watch Quickly Before It’s Gone.

Official Synopsis

The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

“Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.”

What We Learned:
It’s been off and on You Tube for a few hours/days now. Somehow it has stabilized enough for folks to embed the sucker.

Why We’re Gonna Watch:
Nice to see you again Agent Phil Coulson. Your character’s becoming a real Ensemble Darkhorse in our book. Before the trailer we were gonna watch THOR because it was a Marvel Studios film. Now having seen the thing in action, our interest level has jumped up a few clicks.

If the trailer’s not viewable by the time you watch this just run a Google or Twitter search. Or just wait a while. The full-on marketing campaign can’t be far off. After some of the geek grumblings we’ve seen over the released costume photos we suspect this “leak” was the result of a marketing plan.

When’s it coming?
The official site says May 2011.
